That is a great question, and we're so glad you asked!

We believe in keeping our Outlaws clean, with cleanly made goods. Our products have been approved by Whole Foods for safety and cleanliness. We also care deeply about ethics in sourcing, production, and packaging.

Ingredients

Outlaw goods are made with wholesome, natural ingredients like coconut oil, avocado oil, and olive oil. Every ingredient is listed on the product pages - we have nothing to hide! Since our products are creatively scented (leather and campfire, to name a couple), we use synthetically created fragrances. All our fragrances are made in the USA, have been vetted by Whole Foods, and are under the jurisdiction of the FDA. They are phthalate-free.

We use titanium dioxide in some of our soaps, but it's important to note that not all applications of titanium dioxide are the same. Soap is designed to wash off your body. The health concerns about titanium dioxide say you shouldn't inhale or eat it, because your inner tissues are more porous (and I'm sure I don't have to tell you that).

Ethics

We've been certified as cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny (who also verifies all our suppliers... it was a lot of paperwork). Our ingredients are responsibly sourced and heavily researched (for example, we're eliminating every product with palm oil after learning that even "sustainably sourced" palm oil is causing issues for our orangutan brethren).

Sustainable

Our packaging is all sourced with a passion for sustainability! All our packaging is recyclable, and even our body wash and lotion come in recyclable aluminum bottles.
